Special Programs
World Language Exchange Program
Students in Levels IV and V in French and Spanish have the opportunity to participate in a 2 week exchange program in France or Spain their junior or senior year (the trips will alternate ex. France one year, Spain the next). The students will also get a chance to host a French or Spanish student for two weeks. Senior Internship Program
The Senior Internship Program offers Jenkintown students a chance to explore what they may want to major in at college. The program intends to help students explore their interests, use want they've learned in the internship of their choice, and get an experience in the real work field. The program is available only to seniors who have met the deadlines. The internship must be unpaid, where the student is a learner, not an employee (or else it would be a job). The student must find their own internship with the help of the internship coordinator (Mrs. Nusbaum). Students will take their finals early, and leave for the last six weeks of their senior year. They would technically not be allowed to come back to school unless it's for sports, band, choir, or etc. They must also have their own source of transportation. Jenkintown will not provide that. |

These programs enhance the student's high school experience, giving them the opportunity to get a head start in their college career path. Most are half-day programs and also offer AP courses. The courses are scheduled 5 days a week for 2 hours 45 minutes. |
