What is GPA?
GPA stands for Grade Point Average, and it is a measure of how well students are doing in their academic studies. The academic grading scale ranges from A+ to F, and the corresponding grade points range from 4.33 to 0.00. A students' GPA is a mathematical calculation that indicates where an average of the grades falls on the scale. All high school courses are included in a student's GPA, and also appears on their transcript in June.
Why is it important?
It is important because to get into most colleges, students are recommended of having a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
